River Run Bancorp, the mutual holding company for Newburyport Bank, Pentucket Bank, and Rollstone Bank & Trust, announced the promotion of Robert Courtemanche to Vice President, Senior Project Manager. In this newly created role, Courtemanche will design, establish, and lead River Run's Project Management Office (PMO), the governance function through which the organization plans, prioritizes, executes, and monitors strategic projects across all three subsidiary banks and its shared services organization.

As head of the PMO, Rob will serve as River Run's primary project governance authority, overseeing a portfolio of enterprise-wide initiatives spanning technology implementations, regulatory compliance programs, operational process improvements, and strategic growth priorities. He will lead the organization's project planning process, working with department heads, executive sponsors, and finance to align anticipated work with available resources and organizational priorities, and will serve as the PMO's primary interface with executive leadership on portfolio status, risk, and governance matters.

“Rob has consistently demonstrated the discipline and foresight required to lead complex, organization-wide initiatives,” said Robert Glosner, EVP, Chief Information Officer at River Run. “Establishing our Project Management Office is a significant undertaking, and his experience managing enterprise-wide programs makes him the right person to build that governance function from the ground up.”

Courtemanche most recently served as Vice President, Assistant Director of Bank Operations, where he directed a $3.5 billion enterprise core conversion across cross-functional business and technology teams and delivered significant efficiency gains through workflow redesign and automation. He brings 15 years of banking industry experience to his new role, including more than a decade at Rollstone Bank & Trust, where he led operational performance, enterprise risk, and transformation initiatives.

“I’m honored to take on this new role and to help build a governance structure that allows River Run to execute on its priorities with consistency and discipline,” said Robert Courtemanche. “I look forward to partnering with colleagues across all three banks to strengthen how we plan, prioritize, and deliver on the initiatives that matter most to our customers and communities.”

Rob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree, magna cum laude, from Fitchburg State University, and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Mount Wachusett Community College. He is a member of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the Project Management Institute and the Baker Hill User Board. A resident of Winchendon, Massachusetts, Courtemanche enjoys landscape photography, cooking, and studying architecture and history in his free time.
