River Run Bancorp CEO Lloyd Hamm has been named a 2026 Distinguished Leader by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his leadership in advancing a collaborative approach to community banking.

Lloyd will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner and Distinguished Leaders Awards on November 19, 2026, at Danversport in Danvers, Massachusetts. The awards recognize individuals whose professional accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to service have made a meaningful impact on the North Shore. Lloyd will join fellow honorees Leo Bertolino, CEO of Bertolino Foods, and Jo Ann Simons, President and CEO of Northeast Arc.

Strengthening Community Banking While Preserving Local Identity

Under Lloyd’s leadership, River Run Bancorp has brought together Newburyport Bank, Pentucket Bank, and Rollstone Bank & Trust under a mutual holding company structure designed to strengthen community banking for the long term. The model allows the three affiliated banks to share resources, expertise, and operational capabilities while maintaining their individual identities, local relationships, and commitment to the communities they serve.

This approach reflects a central belief at River Run: Community banks become stronger when they work together, without losing the relationships and local knowledge that make them valuable to their customers and communities. Today, River Run represents more than $3.6 billion in assets, 25 banking offices, and approximately 360 employees across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Recognizing Leadership Across the North Shore

Beyond his leadership at River Run, Lloyd is actively involved in several regional organizations. He serves on the North Shore Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors, in addition to serving as Vice Chair of the Zoo New England board of advisors. Lloyd also serves on the boards of Mass General Brigham Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, the New Hampshire Bankers Association, and Northern Essex Community College.

His recognition from the Chamber alongside leaders in business and nonprofit services highlights the important role that local organizations play in the region’s economic and community life. The November 19 event will also celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments over the past year, introduce its 2027 board of directors and officers, and outline priorities for the coming year.

River Run congratulates Lloyd and his fellow honorees. Learn more about the 2026 Distinguished Leaders Awards.
