Sears’ Field Force Wireless Data Communications Solution Recognized by Mobile Insights

Las Vegas, NV, September 13, 2000: River Run Software Group^®, Inc. today announced that its wireless mobile data communications solution developed for Sears Home Services has been awarded the prestigious Moby Award at the Go Mobile 2000 Conference sponsored by Mobile Insights. The Moby Award is designed to recognize excellence in the deployment of mobile computing solutions based on innovation, impact on users and robustness of the solution.

The solution, in addition to the software provided by River Run, contains key components from two of River Run’s strategic partners, also recognized leaders in their fields: Itronix Corporation’s award-winning ruggedized device is used by the field technician to receive, capture and transmit critical information between the field technician and Sears’ back-office system; and the award-winning BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network^(SM) is used as the medium for data transmission. Sears’ deployment of the River Run software, running on Itronix hardware over the BellSouth network, has resulted in significant improvements in Sears’ field worker productivity, customer satisfaction and sales volume.
